• Internet Safety Review

Activity

Today we will review internet safety, using an example of a student who thought they were protecting their online privacy. We will:

• Discuss how much information we share about ourselves when online
• We will predict what people can learn about us from our email address
• We will watch Tracking Teresa
• We will discuss what we thought while watching this video
• We will play "Two Truths and a Lie" by having each student write down two truths and one lie about themselves.
• I will collect the cards and share them with the class - we will try to determine what are the "truths" and what are the "lies"
• We will create an internet safety action plan using the planning sheet included in this lesson.

Assessment

Students will be assessed on:

• Completion of their internet safety action plan
• Wiki discussion posts
